ABC 12/12 Gold Limited Labor Warranty

Engines and Transmissions installed by ABC Auto Parts factory trained or ASE certified mechanics can qualify for extended warranties. An optional extended limited labor warranty of 12 months or 12 thousand miles, whichever comes first, labor for installation, can be purchased when an ABC 12/12 limited part warranty is purchased. The ABC 12/12 limited labor warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the part. ABC Auto Parts will replace and install an engine or transmission covered by the ABC 12/12 limited labor warranty following a breakdown of the engine or transmission, if the ABC 12/12 limited part warranty covers the part. Replacement will be made with parts of like kind and quality and compatible with the original part purchased. All parts replaced will be covered under the terms and conditions hereof for the remaining term and/or mileage of the original purchase. In the event a replacement part is not available within a reasonable delivery time a full refund will be issued to the original purchaser for the original purchase price of the labor.

All exclusions, owners’ responsibilities, service requirements and installation procedures contained in the ABC 12/12 limited labor warranty will apply.

1. Included in the ABC 12/12 limited labor warranty is:
   Towing from the residence of the vehicle owner or the repair facility, within a 30 mile radius of ABC Auto Parts, that purchased and paid for installation, if the breakdown is covered by the labor warranty. (The ABC Auto Parts staff will arrange for pick up and delivery of the vehicle.)
2. Labor to remove and replace a part
   covered by the ABC 12/12 limited labor warranty.
3. Seals, gaskets, filters, fluids, coolant and general shop supplies.
   

Excluded from the ABC 12/12 limited labor warranty is:

1. Specific component parts; alternator, starter, flywheel, fuel delivery systems (injectors, O2 sensor, fuel pump, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, throttle body), emission systems, electronic or computer control systems (computer, coil pack, ignition module, distributor, egr valve, crank sensor, mass air flow sensor), wire harness, oil pumps, timing chains, timing belts, timing gears, cooling fans, radiators, exhaust systems and air conditioning systems.
2. Any and all labor charges not approved in writing by an authorized representative of ABC Auto Parts and Sales, Inc.

Vehicle Information:
ABC Auto Parts must have basic vehicle information upon sale of the part and that information must be documented on the sales invoice, to activate the 12/12 limited labor warranty:

1. The year and model of the vehicle.
2. The vehicle identification number of
   the vehicle.
3. The work order or repair order of
   the vehicle.
4. The vehicle mileage.
5. The dealer and installer name.
6. Part serial number.

THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES; WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, OTHER THAN THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED, ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE IN WRITING ONLY, BY AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF ABC AUTO PARTS AND SALES INC.

Questions You Should Ask Before Accepting an
Extended Limited Warranty!

1. Is a printed copy of the warranty for an engine or transmission available? YES!
2. Is an Original Invoice Required for Warranty or a Return? YES!
3. Have Your Parts Gone Through a Minimum 5 Levels of Quality
   Tests and Evaluations prior to sale? YES!
4. Can I Contact a Sales Manager or Service Manager Directly
   if Problems Arise With My Purchase? YES!

The ABC 12/12 limited parts warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the part.
ABC Auto Parts and Sales, Inc. will replace an engine or transmission covered by the ABC 12/12 limited parts warranty following a breakdown of the engine or transmission due to damage or defect to the parts listed below. Replacement will be made with parts of like kind and quality and compatible with the original part purchased. All parts replaced will be covered under the terms and conditions hereof for the remaining term and/or mileage of the original purchase. In the event a replacement part is not available within a reasonable delivery time a full refund will be issued to the original purchaser for the original purchase price of the part.

Gasoline Engine - Long Block
All internal lubricated parts including pistons, piston rings and pins, crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and bearings, push rods, rocker arms, valves, valve springs, seats and guides, valve push rods and lifters, followers. Valve covers, timing cover, oil pan, engine block and cylinder heads are covered if damaged by an internal
lubricated part.

Transmission - Automatic
All internal lubricated parts in the transmission case, including bands, clutch pack, gears, pumps, shafts, shift forks, shift rails, and synchronizer. The transmission pan and case are covered if damaged by an internal
lubricated part.

1. Any and all labor charges or fees not approved in writing and only by an authorized representative of ABC Auto Parts and Sales, Inc.
2. Towing, storage, loss of time, rental car, incidental transportation, phone calls or any and all consequential damage.
3. Specific component parts: alternator, starter, flywheel, fuel delivery systems (injectors, fuel pump, O2 sensor, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, throttle body), emissions systems, electronic or computer control systems (computer, coil pack, ignition module, distributor, EGR valve, crank sensor, mass air flow sensor), water pumps, oil pumps, timing chains, timing belt and gears, gaskets and seals.
   4. Liability for damage to property or injury to or death of any person arising out of the operation, maintenance or use of parts described in this agreement.

Owners Responsibility -
Service Requirements and Proper installation procedure

1. Engine Tune up and maintenance items such as oil changes, filters, plugs and belts.
2. Maintenance and Installation: You must perform at the proper intervals the following minimum guidelines.
3. Change engine oil, filter, gaskets, seals, coolant and flush radiator during installation.
4. Change transmission fluid, gaskets, seals and filter and flush radiator during installation.
5. Change engine oil and filter every 90 days, 3000 miles or as manufacturer recommends.

THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES; WHETHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, OTHER THAN THE WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED, ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE IN WRITING ONLY, BY AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF ABC AUTO PARTS AND SALES INC.

The original sales invoice must accompany all claims. Purchaser must keep receipts showing dates, mileage and services preformed and/or materials purchased and furnish them to ABC Auto Parts when presenting a claim. Failure to perform the required maintenance, improper installation, missing or melted heat tabs will result in denial of coverage under the ABC 12/12 limited part warranty for engines and transmissions.
